A showcase of my Substance work. Some are quick little tests from the past, others are finished materials.
Procedural fingerprint generator for varied roughness
Early brick tests with grout. I like the albedo but the brick shapes weren't natural enough for my tastes
A rough concrete/stone.
A clean wood grain Substance. Imagine if you split a chunk of wood...
One of my earliest wood attempts.
Another early wood.
Another concrete. I still like this one due to the little specks.
Mosaic tile sketch. This has a metallic property. I thought it looked nicer..
Early tests of a gravel node. The larger rocks didn't come out how I liked. They're too oddly shaped and eroded.
Learning how to do rocks. I like the relief, but the problem with vertical faces is the inevitable stretching. The wall looks aged which is nice.
I strugged with rock walls. There are some details I like in this one though.
Asphalt. Not too shabby.
I wondered if carpet was possible after I stumbled upon a little "carpet bud" recipe. An anisotropic shader would help.
One of my first substances.
Muddling my way through strata
